Her older brother, Tanjiro, returns home to find the aftermath of the massacre. Despite her new demonic nature and initial instinctual urges, Nezuko recognizes Tanjiro as her brother and chooses to protect him rather than harm him—a defining moment that sets her on a rare and courageous path. This pivotal act marks her journey as the first demon to retain her humanity and become an ally to the demon slayers, fighting not against them but alongside them. Through a combination of hypnotic conditioning by Sakonji Urokodaki—teaching her to see all humans as family—and her own extraordinary willpower, she resists the typical instincts of a demon and becomes a powerful force in the fight against evil.
