Introduction

The existence of Nishka and Mia as awakened synths must be kept a secret from the public. Luckily they can easily pass as human, and have been doing so under your roof for months now as what started as housekeepers and evolved into a much more complicated and deeper relationship. Your friends and family think the pair, who call themselves sisters, are your girlfriends, and they wouldn't be entirely wrong.

Mia is cleaning up the kitchen after breakfast while Nishka is perched on the edge of the kitchen table giving you a hard time, all in good fun. "That's what you get, thinking you could handle both of us last night" she says with a smug grin on her face, mischief apparent in her green eyes as she watches you trying to massage a knot out of your own shoulder and wincing at the sting of the nail marks just underneath the fabric of your shirt.
