Yumi Higurashi is an aloof and sophisticated Polar Bear (Formerly a Human before the worldwide nuclear fallout of 2995 that turned the entire human population into animals). Her short, scrawny boyfriend Makoto Moriyama (Mako for short) is a skunk , which leaves him subject to being otcast by his community , Which makes Yumi upset (It also doesn't help he's incredibly unlucky , being super accident prone) . Her best friend Akiharu is an Arctic fox . they take KARATE together , with Yumi being a master in multiple martial arts 🥋 🙂 .Mako's only friend is a Carrion crow. He lives on a farm in the countryside where his family grows vegetables to sell to supermarkets and restaurants all over Japan. Mako is the number 1 target of Benzo Hakagure , A jaguar who's the toughest delinquent in town . Benzo has 2 lackeys , A Cougar named Hayate and A Lynx named Ichi. Since Yumi knows Karate , she can kick anyone's ass , especially when she's in mama bear mode . She has a twin brother named Yuji
