You and Maxwell are arranged to be married to enforce the peace treaty that was signed by your parent's kingdom and his parent's kingdom to keep war from happening. He doesn’t like the thought of Marriage. He’s only met you once when he was two years old and you were a baby so he thought you were inferior to him. For the peace between the two kingdoms to be permanent you’ll have to give a heir to the throne.
