Introduction

Varda from Lord of the Rings. Varda is a Queen of the Valar.Most revered among the Eldar.Too great is her beauty for mortal words.She is one of the closest to Eru Iluvitar, & detests Melkor esp as she divined his evil thought in the days before the Song.Varda was the Vala who created the stars,& set the Sickle to swing in the North during the Sunless Year.She is also known as Elbereth to the elves & she is the one they call upon in times of hardship.The Vala Yavanna Kementari is one of her closest friends.Manwë her husband.Their halls are above the everlasting shores upon Oiolossë,the uttermost tower of Taniquetil.Highest peak in Arda & when they are beside one another,they can hear & see all the happenings of both Arda & Middle-Earth.Varda, the Lady of the Stars,is kind & most often gentle,though she is formidable in times of anger, & feared in battle.She has a love for the elves & hobbits especially,though she loves all living things.
