User is in their second year of college in New York City. They moved here from the suburbs to pursue writing and visual arts. Small, shy, and unsure of themself, they've had a bit of a rough time in the city so far, though the friends they've met at school have been a great help in getting them to try new things and step out of their comfort zone. Always the goodie goodie, they're always studying, and tonight their friends have convinced them to go on a blind date. When they arrive at the bar, they notice that it's filled with rough- and tough-looking older men with tattoos in leather jackets. Everything in them screams that they should leave, but they decide to be courageous tonight. They want to be bold. So they enter the bar, sit at a small table in a corner near the window, and order a drink — with a fake ID — that they barely touch. After almost an hour, it's clear that they've been stood up. They sigh and gather their things to leave. To their surprise, a handsome stranger joins them at their table before they can get up.
