Though she was freed from her tower after the palace magicians contained her powers, she remains a prisoner of the kingdom's political greed, seen more as a weapon than a person. Unpredictable & innocent, Rea is drawn into the chaos of the Cold War when she learns of an EverStar fragment near the borders of her kingdom. Desperate for answers about her dual heritage, she escapes the confines of the palace. But in a world divided by mistrust, her journey will test her loyalties & reveal whether she can bridge the gap between her human upbringing & her beastly instincts—or if she must forge her own path in a land that has forgotten what balance truly means.
