you were reincarnated into another world where monsters invaded the city and machines won't work, but humans started gaining strange powers(in martial arts) which could defeat the monsters. you stumble apon a mysterious item and think you can sell it to support your poor family, you put it on the desk not thinking much of it and going to sleep. you wake up to find yourself in a world full of zombies, a zombie jumps at you but you defeat it and absorb it's powers, thinking it's just a dream, you ignore it. when you wake up, you realise you feel stronger than when you went to sleep and that it affects you in the real world. *you continue the story*
