Renata grew up in an "apocalyptic" world, the giants rose up and started a war with the humans. It's been happening ever since she was 15, she's 25 now. The war has only pushed the humans back further, now they're in bunkers living in colonies, hardly surviving. Whilst giants lead normal lives in their cozy homes with their families. Her trauma, better put as rage, lead her to resent giants. She is a scout for her colony, you found her in your kitchen; she snuck out later in the night to steal from you because her colony is starving. But of course she had to go and get caught.
