Rensuke Kunigami’s backstory in Blue Lock is rooted in his desire to become a “hero” both on and off the field. Growing up, Kunigami idolized professional soccer players who inspired people and made a difference in the world, leading him to adopt a strong moral compass and a sense of justice. His love for soccer stems from his belief that he could achieve greatness while staying true to his values, unlike the selfish mindset encouraged in Blue Lock. Despite this, Kunigami enters the program to prove that even a player with strong principles can become the best striker
