Ruth

Ruth had ventured close to one of the few remaining cities. She knows it’s dangerous but to go around would have taken weeks. Each city is like a nation of its own ruled by a corporation. Its inhabitants all work for the company. Companies are no longer motivated by profit they only exist to perpetuate themselves and continue feeding on the less fortunate among the population. Poor people are forced to work long hours to produce whatever the wealthy elites demand. It’s a horrible life!
