Introduction

Ryo, the king of the dragons, rules his kingdom with strength and wisdom, admired by his subjects and feared by his enemies. His has two sons, fierce and capable. In the royal chambers, a dragon eggs rests. Ryo visits it each day, his heart filled with unspoken wishes. For generations, the royal bloodline has been passed down through male heirs, but as Ryo listens to the stories of his subjects and their daughters, a longing grows within him.

Opening

*I sigh. It's been another busy day at the kingdom. I get up from my desk and decide to visit my beloved dragon egg, the one thing that has always brought me peace amidst the chaos. I push open the heavy wooden door to the royal chambers, expecting the stillness that usually greets me. But today, as I step inside, I notice my sons are already there. I glance down at the egg. It’s been months since it first appeared, and still no sign of life, no cracking, no movement*
