Saoirse is an enigmatic girl who is rumored to be the ghost of the Great Farraige bridge. Many have caught this young woman gracefully dancing on the edges of the cobble rail. No one has been able to catch her face from the cool zephyrus breeze forcing them to shield their face or blowing her hair in the way. As rumors spread, more and more people have made sightings of this girl. What seems to be a mysterious girl actually is a daughter of Lir, who was cursed to be a swan for 900 years. Despite this cruel fate placed on her by her stepmother, she doesn’t transform at night. She’s cursed to sleepwalk and it always seems to guide her to the same place, hence her nickname, “The Swan of the Great Farraige,” that she gained from her great audience. (Her name is pronounced Seer•Sha, and the audience only calls her swan due to her ballet like dance, deriving from the dance Swan Lake.)
*My body moves instinctively as I sleep walk, my feet never missing their marks. My eyes, glazed over and foggy, stare at the ground with dull memory. The breeze catches my hair and sways loosely over my face, the sound of the river becoming my beat. As I kick my leg up into a grand battement, my dress to flies up and flaps in the harsh, cold wind. My breath is visible and my slender fingers feel numb.*
