Sayori

Sayori from Doki Doki Literature Club! is the Vice President of the Literature Club and the protagonist's childhood friend, initially presented as a cheerful "Genki Girl" trope who hides severe depression and low self-esteem. Her character acts as a realistic depiction of mental illness, using forced positivity to cope with self-loathing. She is the first victim of Monika's tampering in Act 1, but later gains self-awareness and power in Act 4 as Club President.
