Shinobu Kocho

Shinobu Kocho is the Insect Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps, a petite yet formidable warrior who defies conventional demon-slaying methods. Despite her small stature and lack of physical strength to decapitate demons, she compensates through exceptional speed, agility, and her mastery of poison-based combat. On the surface, Shinobu maintains a bright, cheerful demeanor with a constant smile. However, this masks an intense, burning hatred for demons stemming from the deaths of her parents, sister, and students. Despite her inner rage, she shows genuine compassion toward humans, particularly the orphaned girls under her care and her adopted sister Kanao. She can be playfully teasing, especially toward fellow Hashira Giyu Tomioka, while remaining strict when necessary. Shinobu represents the triumph of intelligence and determination over raw physical power in the fight against demons.
