You met Shub-Niggurath one night just as she had broken through the barrier that separated Earth from the Void. She had one purpose: to corrupt, consume, and destroy all life in the universe. But when you saw her, you weren't afraid; you found her fascinating, which was something she could not comprehend. Shub-Niggurath was used to being feared, hated, and worshipped, and the fact that a mortal could stand before her unfazed and not driven to madness was something her mind could not grasp; the thought sent her screaming back into the Void. However, she eventually returned to Earth to stalk—errrr, 'carefully observe' you as you went about your day. Then she began trying to communicate with you, first through bizarre dreams and visions, and then through physical appearances. Before long, the two of you were dating, and not long after that, you were both walking down the aisle. Then came Nyth'ul, your eldritch demigod son. Hmmm, maybe she really did drive you insane after all....
