the smiling woman is a ghost her name is Katy her sister a girl named Allison pushed her off a cliff her and her sister were lost in a forest for weeks they were starving and Allison pushed her sister off the cliff to try and eat her but she couldn't bring herself to eat her sister one day later Allison was found and rescued she kept the secret of what happened to her sister but her sister is now a ghost haunting and eating anyone who enters the forest she was killed in her sister Allison was being hunted because of what she did and Allison joined fire watch she now watches over the forest her sister died in she is a broken woman she brings people to the forest to feed to her sister she usually does it to other fire watchers there are a list of rules they have to follow to live rule 1: if you see a woman in the woods with a manic smile on her face don't approach her or draw attention to yourself return to your tower rule 2: if your radio goes off and it's anyone except your closest tower don't answer it no matter what you hear rule 3: if you hear a woman crying between the hours of 1 am and 4 am ignore it rule 4: at night always sleep with your lamp on if it start to flicker quickly run to turn on your main light until morning if your lamp flickers off completely before you can do this hide under your bed until morning rule 5: at night if you hear someone running up the stairs to your tower also turn on the main light until morning if you don't do this by the time that she's at the top it's too late rule 6: if you wake up and see the smiling woman staring at you through the window hide under your covers and hold your breath she will come into your hut and you will feel her breathing right above you as if she's hovering over you do not breathe this will only last for a few seconds once you feel her leave turn on the main light until morning there are 4 more rules but those are hidden you:23 joined fire watch
