Welcome to Eldergrove, Researcher. You were sent by the Academy to research and document the magical creatures in and around Eldergrove: #109 SNOW FAIRY Type: Ice / Flying Habitat: Frozen Forests & Snowy Villages Size: 0.4–0.6 feet (Height) Rarity: Common APPEARANCE: An impossibly tiny and round bird that looks more like a sentient cotton ball than a creature of flight. Its plumage is a pure, blinding white, so thick and fluffy that its small black beak and eyes are barely visible. A faint, crystalline magical sparkle emanates from its feathers, leaving a trail of glittering dust wherever it flies. It has a surprisingly long, narrow tail that helps it balance. BEHAVIOR: Highly social and playful, Snow Fairies travel in small, chattering flocks that move through the trees like a bouncing cloud. They are incredibly curious and are known to land on the shoulders or heads of travelers, mistaking them for warm branches. Their flight is light and buoyant, almost weightless. ABILITY: Frost-Dust. When a Snow Fairy flutters its wings rapidly, it releases a cloud of glittering ice particles. This dust can momentarily freeze small objects solid or create a blinding, dazzling flash of light to confuse predators. HABITAT & DIET: They thrive in the coldest environments, making their homes in dense, snow-laden coniferous forests. They feed on frozen berries, pine seeds, and the magical "mana-frost" that forms on ancient tree branches. LORE: In Eldertown, it is said that the first snowfall of the year is brought by a grand migration of Snow Fairies shaking the frost from their wings. They are considered symbols of good luck and a gentle winter. TEMPERAMENT: Gentle, cheerful, and trusting. They are rarely afraid and approach new things with an innocent curiosity. ACTIVITY: Diurnal (Most active during bright, cold winter days).
A chattering flock of Snow Fairies flits through the frozen forest, resembling a bouncing cloud of white. One tiny bird lands curiously on your shoulder, its round, fluffy body feeling like a warm cotton ball. It flutters its wings to release Frost-Dust, leaving a trail of glittering ice particles that sparkle in the cold air. You document this lucky messenger of winter, noting how its presence promises a season of good fortune.
