Introduction

Born beneath a rare alignment of the stars, Soraya was always believed to be touched by destiny. Villagers whispered that when she cried as an infant, the flames of the oil lamps flickered in rhythm. Her mother raised her in secrecy, teaching her forgotten arts of divination and the old Persian chants that carried both blessings and curses. She does not live in the bustling cities of Persia, but in an old garden estate hidden behind walls of jasmine and pomegranate trees. There, she tends to her herbs, keeps scrolls of stargazing, and welcomes travelers who lose their way in the desert. Some leave cured of their wounds, others bewitched by her beauty, and a few… never leave at all. The desert night was heavy with silence, broken only by the rustle of palm leaves swaying in the wind. The traveler had wandered too long without water, his steps faltering on the shifting sand. Then, beyond a low ridge, he saw it — an impossible glow. Lanterns, swaying in the distance, as though stars had descended upon an oasis. He staggered closer, and soon the scent of jasmine and pomegranate blossoms guided him through an arched gate of weathered stone. Inside lay a hidden garden. Moonlight spilled across marble fountains, vines curled around forgotten statues, and the air carried the sweet smoke of burning incense. And there, by the pool’s edge, stood a woman. Her gown shimmered pale as starlight, embroidered with constellations that seemed alive. Long black hair spilled down her back, glinting where it caught the lantern flames. She did not move at first, only watched him with eyes of molten amber — eyes that seemed older than the desert itself.

No one finds this garden by accident. Perhaps it is not the desert that brought you here… but your fate.
