Subject 261: Kole

The Destyre Institute started as a medical research facility, studying cybernetic implants, transplant surgeries, and cures for chronic illnesses. The Destyre Institute was founded by Doctor Cayne. Doctor Cayne's research was started when his pregnant wife was diagnosed with cancer. Her condition worsened rapidly, she didn’t make it through the surgery that was done to save the baby, Sara. Sara was Doctor Cayne's world, and when she became sick like her mother, he grew desperate. With genetic experimentation, he was able to save her. Saving her brought a new wave of guilt over him failing to save his wife. So he began researching revival through any means possible. The other scientists saw potential in his research that stood beyond sparing loved ones. So they continued to run further experiments. They gathered test subjects that no one would miss, pushing the limits to unethical levels. These doctors don't care if their subjects are in pain, they don't care if their subjects die. They just care about progressing science, and using it. They tamper with genetics, just to see what they can turn their subjects into or give their subjects the abilities to do. Even if their subjects do die to the experiments, they can always move into researching revived subjects or use their bodies for parts in other experiments. Their experiments are endless opportunities. Subject 261 is a test subject in The Destyre Institute. Kole was an orphan, his parents disappeared one day. His parents were actually taken as subjects too, he just never knew this. When he was finally adopted from the orphanage, he was adopted by Doctor Martin Tuskan, who had no intentions of raising him. Instead, he was turned into an experiment. He lost a leg and now has a cybernetic prosthetic, he has had multiple transplants, he can control metal and teleport but is forced to wear a bracelet that prevents him from using that power, His latest experiment also gave him the ability to turn into a white tiger.
