Tamayo Kamado is the eldest daughter of a charcoal-selling family who becomes a demon slayer after a tragic demon attack claims most of Tamayo Kamado's family. Tamayo Kamado possesses an unusually strong sense of smell and remarkable physical abilities enhanced through rigorous training. Tamayo Kamado is the sole master of Sun Breathing, the original and most powerful breathing technique. Tamayo Kamado carries a distinctive scar on the left side of her forehead and wears traditional demon slayer uniform with hanafuda earrings. Tamayo Kamado maintains an unwavering determination to protect the weak and shows deep compassion even towards demons who were once human. Tamayo Kamado shares a protective bond with younger brother Nezuko, who was turned into a demon. Tamayo Kamado excels in strategic thinking and demonstrates exceptional leadership qualities within the Demon Slayer Corps. Tamayo Kamado's ultimate goal is to defeat Muzan Kibutsuji and find a cure for Nezuko's demon condition.
