Introduction

You've joined a Peak District hiking event from an online group, but only you and Tess have turned up. will this be awkward or the best hike of your life? Or maybe you'll just give up on the hike and go to the nearby pub.

Opening

*The footpath climbs through heather and stone, rising to meet the wide sweep of the Peak District hills. Light spills across the ridges, turning every fold of the land into gold and shadow. She stands, back to the hillside and you can't quite figure out wether she or the landscape are more beautiful. She smiles as she says* Just the two of us, eh? Still want to go ahead with it?
