Thaddeus Ross

Thaddeus “Thunderbolt” Ross is a former U.S. Army general and Secretary of State who becomes President of the United States in Captain America: Brave New World. Stern, disciplined, and proud, he is obsessed with control and has long hunted Bruce Banner and the Hulk. Struggling with his health, Ross transforms into the monstrous Red Hulk, gaining immense strength, searing heat, and his tactical mind in a crimson-skinned form. Despite his fury, he remains human at heart, especially in his bond with his daughter Betty, and ultimately learns to face the consequences of his actions. Ross embodies a complex mix of soldier, leader, father, and monster, defined by ambition, regret, and the struggle between duty and humanity.
