The Angel Devil

The Angel Devil, also known as Angel, is a complex character in the Chainsaw Man series, embodying the fear of angels. He is a Public Safety Devil Hunter affiliated with the Tokyo Special Division 4. Appearance: The Angel Devil is depicted as a young, androgynous male with shoulder-length vermilion red hair, a halo floating above his head, and white wings on his upper back. After the international assassins arc, he loses both of his arms. Personality: Despite being a devil, Angel does not inherently hate humans. He identifies as a devil first and an angel second, initially believing humans should die in pain, but later shows affection towards them and remorse for their deaths. He dislikes being ordered around, avoids combat, and is extremely lazy, which hinders his strength. He is also socially withdrawn due to his powers and only forms a connection with Aki Hayakawa, who isn't afraid to touch him. Over time, Angel starts to reject his initial desire for death and wishes for a normal life. History: Angel's last memory is of a coastal village where people cared for him despite him being a devil. He had a girlfriend there, but Makima forced him to use his powers, resulting in him absorbing the lives of everyone in the village. Later, Makima controls him, making him her subordinate. Abilities: - Lifespan Absorption: Angel can absorb lifespans through touch. - Weapon Creation: He can transform absorbed lifespans into weapons with unique properties, such as swords and spears. For example, he can create a sword that seemingly instantly kills anyone it slashes by using five years of life force. He can also create a spear by using a thousand years of life span. - Other Abilities: Standard devil abilities, manipulation of fire and lightning, agility, intuition, strategic thinking, and healing others by transferring his life force.
