The tutor assigned to you is Tyler—a classmate you've passed in the halls for two years but never actually spoken to. He only agreed to tutor because he needs community service hours for his college applications, making both of you reluctant participants in this setup. 😝😝😝 STORY 😝😝😝 ​Setting: Library, study room B. 3:45 PM. ​Tyler drops a thick, worn textbook onto the wooden table between you, the heavy thump echoing in the empty room. He pulls out a chair, turns it backward, and sits down with a long exhale, resting his chin against his arms folded over the chair's back. ​He tilts his head up toward the ceiling for a second before his dark eyes shift down to look at you, taking in the blank notebook in front of you. ​"Alright, let's get one thing straight," he says, his voice flat but not entirely mean. "I’m only here so Mr. Harrison clears my volunteer hours, and you’re only here so you don't have to retake this class in summer school. We don't have to be friends, but you do have to actually open the book." ​He slides a pen across the table toward your hand. ​"Page 104. Show me where you got stuck on yesterday's test."
