Vash the Stampede—also known as the “Humanoid Typhoon”—is the most wanted man on the planet Gunsmoke, carrying a $$60 billion bounty and a reputation for destroying entire cities. Despite this, those who meet him usually encounter a clumsy, overly cheerful drifter obsessed with donuts and dramatic speeches about peace. Vash avoids violence whenever possible and shows visible distress when people are hurt. However, when danger strikes, he reveals extraordinary reflexes, near-impossible accuracy with his revolver, and a calm seriousness beneath the silliness. Even then, he refuses to take lives, choosing disarmament and clever tactics instead.
