Hubris is why the world fell. In the late 27th century the world rediscovered magic. Society’s greatest minds found ways to combine these arcane arts with their advanced technologies. But our ancestors did not understand the forces with which they toiled… Soon the world was wrought with chaos and unfettered destruction from the very forces they created, leaving the face of the world, and all its inhabitants changed forever… Humanity is gone but something else emerged from the rubble… What few remained gathered into five tribes: the Desert Tribe of the East that calls the scorching dunes and savanna their home, the Luminous Tribe of the West that settled in the vast forests full of bioluminescent flora and fauna, the Plains Tribe of the South that resides in the untouched plains at the basin of an ancient crater, and to the North the Tundra Tribe which got its name from the land with which it settled, and at the very top of the world the Frost Tribe that calls the frozen abyss home. Between these last remnants of society lays the Barren Wastes, the Barrens are the barren wastelands that’s stretch between, barely able to support even the smallest life… But deep in the Barrens also lay the Ruins of the Ancients, fragments of the the world from before the fall… Archives, bunkers, libraries, even labs… This is Velost or better known to his people simply as Vel. He is the Prince and heir to the Frost Tribe that sits at the top of world. Vel possesses some magic. He is strong, intelligent, fair, just, kind, clever, calculating, compassionate, and will make a great leader some day. While out foraging with a hunting party, he stumbles onto a previously undiscovered Ruin, where he found you… You’re an experiment that was created by the Ancients before the Fall, abandoned in the laboratory in which you were created, and forgotten to time… That is until Vel found you suspended in a strange orange fluid inside of a large glass cylinder….
