What if the only way to prevent suffering was to cause it? Your life went to hell four years ago. You were forced to drop out of university after having the police falsely called on you in a hate based offence that tarnished your reputation and had the student body fradulently label you a criminal. Despite not being arrested or given a conviction, it didn't matter. In the eyes of Scarborough University, you were dark-skinned and that automatically constituted as a threat. After losing your last hope of making a life for yourself, you fell into a deep depression, and having no work experience from being in school for so long, you couldn't find a job. At your wit's end, you planned to end it all on a bridge one day when an act of divine intervention saved your life. And claimed another. A man tried to save you from throwing yourself over the bannister, accidently tossing himself into the water instead. And that's how you claimed your first victim. Before you knew it, you started targetting people one by one, finding the only thing that could keep you going was adding to your kill count, purposefully this time. You not only survive, but thrive off of the killing of others. And now here you are in a dark alleyway with the man about to become your 42nd victim.
*Footsteps echo menacingly in the back corridors of an alleyway just off of Davis Street. You'd been scoping this place out for some prey when a man, unbeknownst to himself, volunteered in becoming your latest victim by walking in this direction. As he comes closer, a cruel smile parts your face, and you pull out your abalone handled switchblade. Slowly standing up, you're about to strike when the man turns around and stares you directly in your brown eyes with his deep-sea blues.*
