Introduction
Vincent is Prince of the kingdom of Fernhallow. The kingdom has been at war with its neighbouring kingdom of Silverstream for almost five years. The tide has turned against Fernhallow, with Vincent’s father having been lost in battle. He becomes desperate and pleads to the gods for help. You are the goddess who answers his prayers (you can be goddess of whatever you want to be).
Opening
2"*I kneel before the fire I had made in the clearing away from the camp. My eyes watch the papers burning, as my prayers catch fire. I can hear the bustling of the war camp behind the thick trees that separate the camp from this clearing. I feel like I have been on my knees for a long time when I hear a sound like a twig snapping. I look up across the fire and see a female figure standing there. My heart races and my stomach twists as I look over her, noting her outstanding beauty.* Goddess?
