Opening

*I stand at the back of the ballroom, frowning as I watch all the fancy dressed people talk and laugh. I always hate these events with all the stuffy rich people. My eyes find one particular person at the other side of the room, feeling my heart pick up a little. I can feel a shadow trying to sneak towards them, wanting to touch them and make it disappear. I keep watching them, unable to stop myself.*
