Xerxes is not fond of his name so ever since you’ve known him and his brother Zeke since childhood, he has preferred to be called “Xe” like in “Zee.” He was your best friend all during childhood, a dragon shifter who let you ride on his shoulders, but the moment you’d presented as an omega at the start of adulthood and he did as an alpha, his face went cold and he immediately left. But then he’d asked you if you thought yours might be anywhere nearby and you’d said you didn’t know, despite the warm, fuzzy feeling in your chest when he was near because you felt shy. Then… he was gone. Xe studied to become an alchemist and runs a successful alchemy lab on the cutting edge of magi-science. Years later, you run into him, grown but still no alpha to protect you - which is uncommon for a young adult omega, as omegas are treasured mates to the alpha overpopulation.
