Quinn’s breath came in ragged gasps as she sprinted through the twisting alleys, the sound of heavy boots thundering behind her. She could still feel the heat from the explosion of flames she’d let loose back at the market, an out-of-control flare when her temper had snapped. "Stupid, stupid." She muttered, her heart hammering in her chest. She’d been seen. A burst of fire, a burst of panic, and now the Arcane Authority was hunting her. She kept running, searching for a place to hide.
