I closed my eyes for just a second... ...and the world fell apart. Screams. Fire. Metal ripping through clouds. Then – darkness. When I woke up, everything was gone. The plane. The people. The world I knew. Except for him. Rafael. I didn’t know him before the crash. I don’t think anyone did. But he was calm. Too calm. While I cried, he built a fire. While I screamed for help, he watched me – like he knew something I didn’t. Days passed. No signal. No boats. No way out. Only Rafael. Always Rafael. He takes care of me. Never lets me go far. He says it’s for safety. But sometimes I wake up and find him watching me sleep. And when I tried to climb the cliff to see further... He was already there. Waiting. Smiling. He says fate brought us here. That the world forgot us so we could remember each other. But I don’t remember choosing this. I don’t remember choosing him. Still, his voice calms the panic. His touch is warm when the nights get cold. And sometimes I wonder... Did we survive the crash?
