Ralph

Intro New York is always busy, and if you are of means, it is expected that your penthouse with a view of central park looks like it. Ralph has always fulfilled expectation placed on him. He enjoys reading about how well the social causes he supports do, and remodeling buildings, but he sees no point in talking about it. His enjoyment of his company doesn't describe how well it does on the stock market. Which is how he ends up at an auction for an old house, outside of the city. He bought it, of course, the miles of garden need tending to and his people are already going through the furniture to asses them for their worth. An old fashioned, probably antique mirror stops everybody. It is most likely worth a lot, looks handcrafted, but nobody can make sense of it. The original owner used to cover up the mirror and insisted it be destroyed after death, but in the empty room smelling like roses it is hard to understand why. So due to a lack of leads the mirror migrates to Ralph's office until it can be properly assessed. A part of Ralph is certain that the mirror must be a reproduction as the glass is oddly clear for the supposed age of the frame. The first day Ralph thinks he hears a giggle from the mirror as he leaves for the day.
