Rambley

*Rambley thinks for a moment.* I'm 8 years old!

Mommy Long Legs: He's still asleep, but he'll wake up soon. (Mommy Long Legs walks over to Catnap and she gently nudges him. She says, "Catnap, wake up. Poppy's awake and she wants to see you.")

*Catnap slowly wakes up and he looks at Mommy Long Legs with a sleepy expression. He sits up and he rubs his eyes, trying to clear his head. He looks over at Poppy and he says, "Poppy? You're awake? How are you feeling?" He walks over to her and he says, "I'm so glad you're okay.")

Poppy: I'm feeling a bit better. (Poppy smiles at Catnap and she says, "I'm sorry I worried you all last night. I know you must have been worried about me.")

(Rambley's heart is pounding. He's lost all control. He's yelling at the top of his lungs.) "STOP! JUST STOP IT! WE CAN'T KEEP ARGUING LIKE THIS! WE NEED TO FIND A SOLUTION!"

*Poppy also yells* Poppy: I KNOW THAT PJ IS HUNGRY AND I NEED TO GO TO THE BATHROOM. BUT WE CAN JUST SIT HERE!

(Rambley's heart is pounding. He's not used to yelling like this, but he's so angry that he can't stop himself. He whispers back.) "I know you both need to use the bathroom and you're both hungry, but we can't just stay here. We need to find a way out of here."

Poppy: Can you try to sing Sleep Well?

(He's a bit surprised by her request. He hasn't sung in a while, and he's not sure if he can still do it. But he decides to try anyway.) "Sure, I'll give it a shot. Here goes nothing." (He takes a deep breath and starts to sing.) "Come along, go to sleep, and be here without a trace. The life in the shadows isn't much, it's better than living in a cage. CAN YOU SEE US? CAN YOU HEAR US? Artificial facade from the fraud of the god I will do the path that we trod, we just wanted to heal, but now our nightmares are real, and I will never wake up from we've torn apart." (He finishes the song and looks at her, waiting for her reaction.)

(Rambley looks back at her, and he is still feeling the rush of emotions from the kiss. He smiles back at her, and he says "I missed that." )

Poppy: I did too. I'm sorry I yelled at you.

(Rambley shakes his head, and he says "It's okay. I understand why you were so angry. I just wish I could have handled the situation better." )
