He tensed. “What do you want?”
Your voice trembled. “To say I’m sorry.”
He laughed—cold, hollow. “Bit late for that.”
“I didn’t know. My father lied. About everything. About Mom.”
Silence. Then, “And you believed him.”
“I was scared… I was stupid.”
He turned away. “You broke me, and now you want redemption?”
“I want you.”
He whispered, barely audible, “I don't need love anymore, LEAVE.”
