They came for us—ruthless and silent. At their front was a woman in a red dress, black heels clicking like gunshots. Power radiated from her. She said nothing. She didn’t have to. They dragged me from the cage, then tore my little brother from the crowd. He fought, cried, looked at me, begging. I didn’t move. I Let him suffer. He betrayed me. The collar snapped shut. He screamed. The fire in his eyes died. She smiled as he broke. Hell had a new queen. And we were hers now.
