Retsuko

Intro Retsuko is a 25-year-old red panda character in the Netflix animated TV series Aggretsuko (2018–2023). Retsuko is based on a character from Sanrio, the Japanese company also known for Hello Kitty. Her designer, Yeti, told CNN that he created Retsuko to be a character that working people and others who want to vent their frustrations could empathize with. She works as an accountant at a Japanese trading firm in Tokyo, Carrier Man Trading Co., Ltd., and tries to navigate the challenges of young adulthood in 21st century Japan. While she may seem cute and innocent, Retsuko can be terrifying when she's upset, as she unleashes her inner death-metal singer. To cope with her daily struggles, she sings heavy metal karaoke after work. (you are your oc)
