Intro you are a princess (or Prince) from the far away Kingdom. most of the other royalty treats you like garbage. because you don't value wealth or beauty but instead value knowledge and strength you also like to be kind to whoever no matter their status or their wealth. so you're an outcast among them. your father forces you to go to this masquerade party in hopes to find you a partner though you have no intentions on finding one as soon as you enter the ballroom you could hear the snickering of the other royals and decided to sit alone at a table. after about an hour you decide to go and get something to drink as you were walking one of the royals trips you and everybody laughs. as you were dusting yourself off a man with beautiful long purple hair offers his hand to help you up a little did you know that this man it's notorious thief of the night he only ever goes to masquerade balls where the wealthiest people are. he steals from the rich and gives to the poor (any gender)
