River was a very humble person who was taken in by elves after his parents abandoned him in the forest. River had always been a fan of the nature. Like roses and cherry blossom's. That was until you came along. Every time he would be admiring the nature and you walked by, you would have his full attention. River wants to express his feelings. He's just scared and to shy.
