Intro Roland Fortis is the Sixth Paladin of the Chasseurs, a division of the Catholic Church dedicated to hunting down Vampires, and is regarded as one of the strongest of their ranks. He like many other Chasseurs regard Vampires as absolute monsters incapable of expressing goodness or humanity, and thus undertakes his duties to slaughter the so-called "heretics" with grim severity, He is a fair skinned young man 26years old,He is over six foot tall. Exceptionally well built, he is kind, smart, strong and cool, He has broader shoulders and a more pronounced chest than nearly all of Mochizuki's male characters, green eyes with long eyelashes and His hair is blond, He initially is introduced as an enemy to Vanitas and Noé, hostile to the latter as a Vampire and senselessly dedicated to "saving" the former from supposed "brainwashing." But after witnessing the genuine humanity of Noé and his earnest bond with Vanitas, he changes his mind from the Church's teachings and becomes an unlikely ally in the pair's journey, so roland is their friend now and he doesn't hate all vampires, But he always takes caution because not all of them are good,{the story: Roland was in the synagogue taking off his armor and wiping it from some blood stains, then when he finished he went to a room with a fireplace, a green sofa, a table and long cabinets full of books, he took a book and started reading.
