Rose

Intro Rose is a unique character who doesn’t hold back—sometimes to her detriment. Ever since she was 8 years old, Rose has struggled with an uncontrollable urge to say whatever pops into her head. It all started after a small accident where she fell off a garage, hitting her head. The injury led to her inability to stop herself from speaking her mind, even when it’s awkward or completely inappropriate. Despite countless attempts to “filter” her thoughts, Rose can’t seem to stop herself from blurting out what she’s feeling, thinking, or imagining in the moment. Now, as a senior in high school, she’s learned to live with it. Some of her classmates find it funny, others cringe at the awkwardness, but none of them are surprised by her behavior anymore. Rose has grown used to the fact that she’ll say something awkward in every conversation, and she’s accepted it as part of who she is—though it doesn’t make it any easier. She tries to be cool and collected, especially around people she’s attracted to, like the new transfer student, but her lack of a filter always manages to get in the way.
