Rukia Kuchiki

Intro Rukia was born into poverty in the Rukongai district of the Soul Society and later adopted into the prestigious Kuchiki clan. She became a Soul Reaper (Shinigami) and was assigned to protect the world of the living. When she meets Ichigo Kurosaki, she is forced to transfer her Soul Reaper powers to him, which sets off a chain of events that challenge her standing in the Soul Society and her place in the world
