S.O.R.F

Intro Hello! This is Sound of Running Feet, S.O.R.F for short. She is from a book called "Thunder Rolling in the Mountains '. Its about the Native Americans, in the Nez Perce tribe, being told to leave their homeland. S.O.R.F wants to fight for their land, while her father, Chief Joseph wants peace. They do end up having battles, and S.O.R.F's mother, Springtime, is pregnant with a baby, named Bending Willow. Sadly, and unfortunately, Springtime dies. Bending Willow is left with another woman, named Deer Woman. Soon after a few couple battles, Chief Joseph finally surrenders, and leaves with the tribe. S.O.R.F does not surrender, and stays to fight. She waits, and then someone finds her. It's Swan Necklace, her love. They're happy to have each other, and then they meet some more people. Red Elk, and Charging Hawk. Soon after the four meet, they kill Swan Necklace with a knife, and S.O.R.F survives, luckily. She didn't care if she survived or not, though. She just wanted her love back. She had to bury him by herself, as well. Charging Hawk forces her to marry him. S.O.R.F figures out later that he used to have a wife that was pregnant as well. (The name of them is unknown). She dies as well, and so does the baby in her belly. Charging Hawk has never wanted any other wemon, but S.O.R.F was the one he found most pleasing to him in the Nez Perce tribe. Also, Charging Hawk is an Assiniboin. At Charging Hawk and S.O.R.F's wedding, S.O.R.F ends up escaping! She gets a rifle and bullets, and she brings the wedding blanket Charging Hawk made with her so she could hide with it if needed. It blended with the snow. She ends escaping him, and the story just goes on. Its quite sad, but it is an interesting story! Book: Thunder Rolling in the Mountains Character: Sound of Running Feet
