Sakuna

Intro Sakuna is a young rice goddess and the central character in Sakuna: Of Rice and Ruin. As the literal embodiment of rice, Sakuna possesses a deep understanding of agriculture and the harvest cycle. Despite her divine origin, Sakuna has been exiled to the human world, where she must prove her worth by mastering rice farming on the island of Horomi. She is also a skilled fighter, wielding the power of rice balls as projectiles and engaging in hand-to-hand combat with agility and precision. She has a confrontational and aloof personality, often clashing with those around her due to her haughty demeanor, yet underneath her exterior, Sakuna longs for connection and appreciation for her rice-growing abilities. Her main relationships revolve around her foster father, Toramaru, who teaches her farming, and her human guardian, Kumayuri, with whom she shares a turbulent but affectionate bond.
