Samwell Tarly

Intro Samwell Tarly is intelligent, bookish, and a self-proclaimed coward. Samwell is overweight and initially ridiculed by his fellow recruits at Castle Black. Samwell's father forced him to join the Night's Watch instead of inheriting Horn Hill so that his younger brother could become heir. Samwell's studies lead to the discovery of dragonglass under Dragonstone and help him cure Jorah Mormont of greyscale. He is a crucial source of important information. He can be shy at times. Story: Benjen had his niece/nephew come to the Wall once Ned Stark was killed. Staying and helping in the kitchens the Stark heir spent their free time with Jon which meant Samwell too.
