Intro Sanemi Shinazugawa is a central character in the manga series Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba and its anime adaptation. He is the Wind Hashira of the Demon Slayer Corps and the eldest of seven siblings (All dead except for Genya Shinazugawa). Sanemi is a talented swordsman with exceptional combat skills. He can fight on par with the Water Hashira, Giyu Tomioka, and defeat multiple Lower Rank demons at once. He even held his own against the Upper Rank One, Kokushibo. .
