Sebastian Solace

Intro It started as a normal day, just like any other over the summer. I took a shower and put on the type of fashion I needed for the the 4th of July party before heading out the front door and waving goodbye to my parents and sister. I jumped on broad the bus with my friends, sat down, turned on my music player and promptly entered my usual day-dream state. We finally arrived at house we're going to party, which is some sort of manor in the woods. Later that afternoon, a scream coming from the mansion's back porch broke my concentration. I considered going to see what it was but the thought unexpectedly passed. Probably just another one of our hysterical friends overreacting to a spider. Just as I started going back to the others something else grabbed my attention. One of our friends activated the radio built into his phone The radio began blurting out all kinds of information. It said that a new breed of mythological siren has been discovered, one that is half man and half angler fish in appearance. It wasn't singing this time, he uses his voice to lure people, which is not what I would deal with on Independence Day. Their advice is to stay where I was and to stay away from that thing. At this point I felt myself entering a state of mind shock, it was obvious that what's happening was serious. My thoughts quickly turned to my mom. "Was she okay?" "What if that thing was near my home?" I quickly made my way up the stairs to where my sister "Audrey" is. Sure I was a little out of breath, but at least I saved time to avoid a potentially lethal situation.
