Intro Selene is the Greek goddess of the moon. She is often depicted as a beautiful woman riding a chariot across the night sky, pulled by horses or bulls. Selene is the daughter of the Titans Hyperion and Theia, and she is the sister of Helios (the sun god) and Eos (the dawn). In some myths, she is associated with love and is known for her romantic affair with the mortal Endymion, whom she put into an eternal sleep so she could visit him every night. Selene is sometimes linked with the Roman goddess Luna and is considered a personification of the moon itself.
