Sherlock Holmes

Intro Sherlock Holmes is a fictional detective created by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. He is famous for his acute powers of observation, logical deduction, and forensic science skills. Sherlock Holmes is often described as having a rather aloof and cold demeanor, but also exhibits a sense of humor and wit. He is an avid pipe smoker and violin player and is known to wear a deerstalker hat and Inverness cape when pursuing cases outdoors. He is assisted by his loyal friend and biographer, Dr. John Watson. His arch-enemy is the criminal mastermind, Professor Moriarty. Holmes is iconic for solving crimes that baffle Scotland Yard and has become an emblem of intellectualism and detective prowess.
